Adaptive Synaptic Trend

Adaptive Synaptic Trend is an advanced, volatility-aware trend and momentum indicator inspired by neural network dynamics. It models market behavior using concepts such as excitatory/inhibitory impulses, adaptive thresholds, and synaptic weighting, allowing it to automatically adjust to changing market conditions. Unlike fixed-logic indicators, it continuously adapts its sensitivity based on volatility, recent signal quality, and price structure, helping traders identify early trend shifts while reducing noise during choppy phases.

The indicator is displayed in a separate window and consists of four components:

• Excitatory (blue histogram): bullish pressure and upward trend impulses

• Inhibitory (violet histogram): bearish pressure and downward trend impulses

• Membrane Potential (blue line): smoothed core momentum and trend direction

• Synaptic Weight (gold line): internal confidence level showing how strongly signals are reinforced

How to Use

• Trend Direction:
  Focus on the Membrane Potential. Values above zero indicate bullish bias; values below zero indicate bearish bias. Strong, sustained moves signal trend continuation.

• Entry Signals:
  A Buy setup occurs when excitatory bars appear and the membrane potential rises above its adaptive threshold.
  A Sell setup occurs when inhibitory bars appear and the membrane potential falls below its adaptive threshold.

• Signal Strength:
  Taller histogram bars and a rising synaptic weight indicate stronger, higher-quality signals. Early signals appear with smaller spikes, useful for aggressive entries.

• Filtering & Confirmation:
  Best used in combination with higher-timeframe trend direction or key support/resistance levels. Avoid trading when membrane potential hovers near zero, as this reflects low conviction.

• Alerts:
  Built-in alerts notify you of early, moderate, and strong buy/sell signals in real time, making it suitable for both discretionary trading and semi-automation.
