Follow these streamlined steps to install and display any custom indicator from Free Indicators Hub on your MT5 platform.

1. Installing Your Indicator

1. Open MT5’s Data Folder

   • In MT5, go to File → Open Data Folder.

2. Copy Files

   • Open MQL5 → Indicators.

   • Drag your downloaded indicator files (​.ex5/​.mq5) into this folder.

3. Restart MT5

   • Completely close MT5 and relaunch it.

   • Your new indicators will appear under Navigator → Indicators → Custom.

Tip: Verify that you placed files in MQL5/Indicators and fully restarted MT5 if you don’t see them.

2. Applying an Indicator to a Chart

1. Open the Chart

   • In Market Watch, right-click your desired symbol and select Chart Window.

2. Insert Indicator

   • From the toolbar, choose Insert → Indicators → Custom, then select your Free Indicators Hub indicator.

3. Configure Settings

   • If the indicator’s properties dialog opens, switch to the Common tab.

   • Enable Allow DLL imports (if required) and click OK.

Your custom indicator will now display on the chart.

3. Troubleshooting

• Indicator Not in Navigator

  1. Ensure files are in MQL5/Indicators.

  2. Restart MT5.

• Indicator Fails to Load

  1. Reopen the chart and re-insert the indicator.

  2. Confirm Allow DLL imports is checked if prompted.

• Persistent Issues

  1. Back up your Profiles and Templates.

  2. Reinstall MetaTrader 5 and repeat the installation steps.
